Rowdy has worked in and around specialty coffee for 6+ years in a variety of roles such as Barista, Trainer, Consultant, and Roaster. Outside of the coffee industry, Rowdy completed a jazz performance degree from Friends University in 2020 and now they spend most of their days writing and performing music.

Rowdy's love for specialty coffee started with the rich atmosphere of creativity, beauty, and art that coffee environments are often known for. Soon after, they began to see some of the unfortunate aspects of the coffee industry's history. It quickly became a passion of their's to advocate for better practices at all levels of the coffee value chain so that all people can equally benefit from the wonderful things coffee can do for different communities.

At the heart of specialty coffee is people, and those people deserve to be treated equitably and with respect. Rowdy believes that specialty coffee and LegacyWorks are a perfect marriage of those values and they are eager to work toward creative solutions so that those values can produce meaningful change in the lives of those whom it would benefit.
